LINDA BRODSKY, SURGEON AND FOUNDER OF EXPEDITING THE INVEITABLE, TO SPEAK AT THE 4TH WORLD MEDICAL TOURISM AND GLOBAL HEALTHCARE CONGRESS
— Panel Brings Insight to the Future of Emerging Healthcare —
Buffalo, NY (July 14, 2011) — On October 25-28, 2011, Linda Brodsky will participate as a panelist in the 4th World Medical Tourism and Global Healthcare Congress, the largest medical tourism event in the world. This year's conference focuses upon the future of healthcare in emerging regions, and Brodsky will address this topic with a talk entitled, “How Emerging Healthcare Can Learn from Mistakes, Attract the Best Talent and Operate.”
Brodsky has devoted her life to healthcare, both as a pediatric otolaryngologist and as founder of Expediting The Inevitable, an organization which is dedicated to changing the way the healthcare marketplace and women physicians engage to achieve business growth, clinical excellence and quality patient care. With training from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and Intermountain Healthcare, Brodsky is an expert on implementing improvement and closing the gender gap in healthcare settings.
Healthcare is currently in the midst of important transitions. Women physicians are entering the workforce in increasing numbers, and the demand for healthcare in regions such as Russia, Ukraine, CIS countries, China, Japan, the Middle East, GCC regions and Africa is growing rapidly. Brodsky will speak to both of these changes, addressing the reality that women will soon constitute 50% of all physicians and that female physicians are in high demand by patients, in order to explain how emerging healthcare can best learn from the past to adapt and engage women physicians so as to provide the best healthcare possible.
The 4th World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress will take place in Chicago, IL, from October 25-28, 2011 at the Marriott Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel. For more information, visit medicaltourismcongress.com

About Linda Brodsky, MD
Linda Brodsky, MD is an internationally-renowned pediatric otolaryngologist and founder of Expediting the Inevitable, an organization dedicated to changing the way the healthcare marketplace and women physicians engage to achieve business growth and clinical excellence. Linda spent 25 years building a well-respected department at the Children's Hospital of Buffalo, and was the first women ever, in any surgical department, to be promoted to tenured full professor of otolaryngology and pediatrics at the State University of New York at Buffalo. At the top of her career, she became aware of information that led her to believe that her she was a victim of gender discrimination, and she spent the next 10 years fighting her way through a legal labyrinth. Since the resolution of her legal battles in 2007 and 2008, she has devoted her energies to changing the status quo for the next generation of women physicians and the patients they serve.
