Buffalo, NY (July 14, 2011) — Linda Brodsky, surgeon and founder of Expediting The Inevitable, has contributed her own story to Get Your Woman On: Embracing Beauty, Grace and the Power of Women, which can currently be pre-ordered through and will be released August 18, 2011 on The e-book, which has audio and video enhancements in every chapter, is due out in early September, 2011.

“It is rare for a collaborative multi-author book to reach the top 50 best selling books in its first day on Amazon,” said Ruby Yeh, the publisher of the book. There is great appeal for stories of ordinary women who create extraordinary change in a world where they struggled and eventually triumphed. Beyond personal change, each and every one committed to making the world a better place.

In her chapter, Brodsky depicts the circumstances that led her to enter legal battles with her employers, The University of Buffalo and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, in order to confront the gender discrimination she believed she faced as a female pediatric otolaryngologist — despite her considerable qualifications and successes. Upon resolving the lawsuits, Brodsky describes her realization that she had to go further and make a difference for other women facing similar challenges. In doing so she has built Expediting The Inevitable, an organization that helps women physicians and healthcare organizations find the best way to integrate the changing healthcare workforce consisting of greater numbers of women, into the evolving healthcare workplace.

Like all the contributors to Get Your Woman On, Brodsky not only shares her personal story, but also urges readers to collaborate, to fight for their beliefs, and to never give up. The book will propel the reader through a wide range of captivating moments and memoirs to reveal the resolve and triumphs of 39 determined women.
